Even though storyboards rarely reach the public eye, they are still an integral part of the design development process. Storyboarding helps the designer and the client to visualize what the final artwork will look like. Because storyboards are easy to edit, client-requested changes can be quickly implemented without burning too many hours.

It is important to create panels that are well-illustrated so the client can understand them, but at the same time these illustrations need to be developed quickly and efficiently.

When complete, storyboards provide a detailed skeleton enabling the designers and artists to move quickly and efficiently when developing art for the final production.
